Rebecca Wagoner was born in PA September 23, 1823 and moved with her parents to OH when five years old. Nov. 4, 1839 she was married to Henry Hendricks. From this union she had 12 children; 4 boys and 8 girls. all of whom are living except one girl. She married James Walker, January 29, 1874, died October 2, 1896, age 73 years and 3 days. In 1862 or 1863 she united with the Baptist church at Jordan, IN and was baptised by Elder A.E. Babcock and died in full hope. Funeral services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. W.F. Smith of Argos, IN; interment at Jordan cemetery.

Grant was 7 when his father died and 11 when she remarried to Walker.
